A neat little title screen, different from the Genesis version -- mode-7 pucks zoom by with random team logos on them.

The main menu screen -- all options are the same as the Genesis version, except that there's no user profiles on the SNES.

You can play up to five players with a multi-tap...or, in my case, just a measly two.

EA Sports' fictitious personality Ron Barr gives you the goods on who's playing well and who needs to pick it up.

The anthem has been sung, and now it's time to drop the puck!

EA's accurate portrayal of sporting rules includes everyone's favorite play, the icing call!

Hold on to your hats, fans, because the electrifying offside play has made it into this year's edition as well!

The Flames notch one against their rivals in the Battle of Alberta!

During intermissions, the game will flash up randomly generated scores from other action in the league, and even sometimes show you a highlight or two.

In true Broadstreet Bully fashion, players can be checked over the boards if they stray too close to the benches.

There's a highly convenient replay feature included in case you want to watch that big painful body check one more time in slow motion...hey, since when does Steve Yzerman check people?

The game's not all flashy goals and spectacular hits... the goalies get a chance to shine too. Terrific save!

A neat little easter egg for the hardcore hockey fans - get the San Jose Sharks on the power play in their own building and Jaws music will start playing while the fans do "The Chomp".

Get too enthusiastic with the horseplay, and the ref will toss you in the sin bin to cool off.

A nice view of the penalty box as the officiating staff nail Cliff Ronning for a deuce.

If you think you have what it takes, you can go on a quest for Lord Stenley's coveted Cup.

The game even includes a digital trading card of every player. Here's looking at you, Steve.

Penalty shots and overtime shootouts are another addition to 94's lineup of features.

You can even keep an eye on how much noise the home crowd is making. Stir up a really exciting contest, and the meter will start to crack!
