WipEout 3 is a futuristic racing game where the player pilots a high speed hover craft around a series of themed circuits, competing against a number of aggressive opponents. Enhancements for this version include full frame rate hi-res graphics, split-screen multiplayer, improved opponent AI, additional game modes including challenge and eliminator and a more accessible difficulty curve.

This is what happens if you let Designers Republic run loose.
All menus in the game are super-stylish, and occasionally impossible to read.
Don't be alarmed by the odd and surprisingly high resolution of the game.
Despite the increase in resolution and framerate the tracks still feature some neat details.
Taking screenshots while racing isn't exactly easy, hence the 10th place.
Track one - Porto Kora features some picturesque moments such as this...
The game has been optimized for widescreen TVs.
Wipeout 3 engine is truly a miraculous achievement for the PS1 hardware. No dropout whatsoever!
The game features a replay feature.
Track 2 - Mega Mall.
Those glass windows are an awesome touch.
A series-staple - a long high-speed corkscrew!
Track 3 - Sampa Run.
Eat rockets! Whoever you are!
If not for the complete lack of texture antialiasing, W3 could probably be mistaken for an early PS2 game.
Another testament to the W3's engine.
Designers Republic EVERYWHERE!
Track 4 - Stanza Inter.
Note the nice lights in the distance.
While some tracks lack in color and detail, they more than make up for is with clever design...
...and awesome sense of speed.
