Ryu's dragon attacks are all-out 3D eye-candy animations, just like in contemporary Final Fantasies. This here is Rainstorm!..

This is Mud Flow - a combined super-attack courtesy of Ryu. Here you can see the final segment of the animation, with the actual enemies present

Even though Ryu steals the show with his super-duper dragon stuff it doesn't mean other characters are useless. Here, Ursula casts some cool ice on this large insect

Those guys look surprised that Cray can actually attack physically!

The northern part of the continent has a few such boat-oriented villages

You know there is hope for ever finishing this super-long game if dungeons begin to have more abstract styles
